Leicester City have mapped out their pre-season, with players due back at Seagrave before the end of June and three friendlies now scheduled. According to LeicesterMercury.co.uk, a home game with Northampton Town will be followed by trips to Bristol Rovers and Burton Albion.
Monday 29 June allows around seven weeks of work before League One begins over the weekend of August 15-16.
Northampton visit Seagrave on Saturday July 11. Leicester then head to League Two Bristol Rovers on Tuesday July 14, before travelling to Burton on Saturday July 18.
A final warm-up is expected to be pencilled in at the beginning of August. Competitive action will begin over August 8-9 in the Carabao Cup, with League One to start the following weekend.
Most of last season’s squad will report in the early days of pre-season, with exceptions. Jordan Ayew, Ricardo Pereira, Jamaal Lascelles and Patson Daka will not be involved, with their contracts expiring, while Harry Souttar and Abdul Fatawu are at the World Cup.
A new manager will be taking over at the King Power Stadium. Russell Martin is increasingly likely to be in charge at Leicester, with his announcement imminent.
