Leicester’s misplaced confidence understandable considering imprudence

Leicester City Football Club have been told that their apparent confidence in evading further Profit and Sustainability penalties is potentially unsubstantiated. Basically it is claimed City should be worried that they have, in fact, broken Financial Fair Play rules and will be punished. Let's hope not - though we must prepare for the worst and understand the issues.

I for one imagine the Premier League considers its legal business with LCFC totally unfinished. And the Foxes should indeed watch their step and only employ very careful policy from now on. If what we hear is anything to go by, the east Midlanders may well hold misplaced belief in their own approaches.

The possible delusions on Filbert Way are actually understandable when you consider other aspects at play in the King Power outfit. For example, what they waste on less talented players than they require. Some of the managerial appointments like Dean Smith and Steve Cooper. Misreading and overcharging their long-suffering fan base. The organisation is run so badly that they don't even learn from their own mistakes.

Leicester City face further Profit and Sustainability problems as predicted

Unfortunately, Premier League chiefs seemingly want to make an example out of Leicester. And the modern, imprudent LCFC may play right into the EPL's scolding hands. An expert declares that City are right 'on course to fail PSR'. Oh dear.

"Looking at the numbers, I just don’t see where the confidence comes from. It’s an odd word to use anyway being 'confident'. They [LCFC] should know for sure by now!"Stefan Borson

Why Foxes of Leicester not surprised at latest City developments

The King Power club is a mess if you ask me. While I don't dislike Ruud van Nistelrooy at all, it didn't seem a prolonged or conscientious appointment. The installation actually felt impulsive and hazardous. When you discover other factors about the contemporary City, you'll become even more alarmed.

The sentimentality surrounding money the outfit pays unqualified and unneeded footballers such as Hamza Choudhury is shocking. I don't wish to target him unfairly, but being paid £50,000-per-week to play 130 minutes of top flight football in 2024/25 is counterproductive

Other negative elements such as loyal supporters being 'fleeced by the Foxes hierarchy' for tickets show the ownership's true colours. Clearly LCFC needed to make up for their own transfer errors.
