Lennart Karl, 17, remains unfazed by scrutiny of his recent Bayern Munich performances.

Attempting a double step-over in the second half of Sunday’s 5-1 win over Hoffenheim, he inadvertently knocked the ball out of play off his own heel. The clip quickly circulated on social media, prompting jokes at his expense.

Karl’s form has dipped in terms of goal contributions, with only one assist in his last six Bayern appearances.

"I just need to keep giving 100 percent. You can’t always deliver perfect performances. If I keep pushing in training and in matches, the good performances will come again. I’m 17 years old. I'll just keep going," Karl told Sport1.

He will have another chance to impress when Bayern face RB Leipzig in the DFB-Pokal on Wednesday.
