Carlo Ancelotti called him for friendlies against France and Croatia, and he played the full 90 minutes in both matches.

After the Cusco game, he downplayed World Cup talk, saying he is focused solely on Flamengo and on delivering his best for the team.

Flamengo face Fluminense on Saturday 11 at the Maracanã in the 11th round of the Campeonato Brasileiro. Kick-off is at 18:30 Brasília time, with coverage on Premiere pay-per-view.
