Leonardo Jardim is shaping plans for Flamengo during the March FIFA window, with Brazil coach Carlo Ancelotti to name his squad on Monday 16. According to Coluna Do Fla, the pause will allow Jardim to put new ideas into practice.
Jardim said his players absorb instructions quickly thanks to their quality and intelligence, which he believes helps the coach. He credited the squad for taking on concepts fast.
He added the break will be used to work with those not called by their national teams, and that time during the World Cup will also be utilised. Jardim wants his side to play well, be varied and play to win, stressing the focus is Flamengo rather than a personal style.
The March 2026 window runs from 23 to 31, centred on warm-up friendlies for the World Cup. Brazil face France on 26, then meet Croatia on 31. Domestic fixtures will pause, offering Jardim extra time on the training ground.
Ancelotti may select Flamengo players, including Léo Pereira and Alex Sandro. Beyond that pair, others could be called by their countries, with Uruguay considering Arrascaeta, Varela and De La Cruz. Ecuador should summon Gonzalo Plata, Colombia could include Jorge Carrascal, while Chile monitor Erick Pulgar and Italy Jorginho.
