Leverkusen ‘would not block’ Andrich exit as Frankfurt interest persists | OneFootball

Robert Andrich is pushing to convince new Bayer Leverkusen head coach Carles Martínez as he weighs up his next move amid continued Eintracht Frankfurt interest.

Bild claims that sporting director Simon Rolfes has been in contact with the midfielder’s representatives, and that Leverkusen would not stand in his way if he pursued a transfer, with a fee around €10 million.

For now Andrich is said to be prioritising a breakthrough at Leverkusen, keeping Eintracht waiting. He has applied himself in training, taken on leadership in the dressing room and appears motivated.

Exequiel Palacios is currently pencilled in for the holding role alongside incoming midfielder Kennet Eichhorn, shaping the early competition for places.

Palacios is on a three-week break and Malik Tillman is also still on leave, creating an opening for Andrich to stake his claim in pre-season.

A decision on his future is not expected until after the training camp in Blankenhain in the first week of August at the earliest.
