Cucurella went off injured at half time in the draw against Leeds in midweek, and missed Friday’s FA Cup fourth round tie against Hull City.

In his absence the Blues ran out convincing 4-0 winners to advance to the fifth round, with Jorrel Hato filling in at left back.

Chelsea are believed to be sweating on the outcome of scans to determine the extent of the injury, and how long the 27-year-old could be out for.

It’s been reported the Spanish Football Federation are concerned about the injury given the World Cup is coming up this summer, with Cucurella likely to play an important role.

Cucurella is one of Chelsea’s most important players, and has made 35 appearances in all competitions this season, and speaking after the Hull game Rosenior issued a slightly worrying update.

“Yes, at the moment he’s not fit,” he told his post-match press conference.

“There’s an issue with his hamstring. I don’t know. I can’t give you a time frame on it at the moment.”

Having played against Hull it would appear Hato will now get a run in the side and a chance to show what he can do.

Cole Palmer also missed Hull win

Cucurella wasn’t the only player to miss the win against Hull, with Cole Palmer also absent from the match day squad.

However, Palmer isn’t injured and Rosenior revealed his absence was simply down to his minutes being managed.

Palmer has struggled with a groin injury this season, and admitted he’s yet to play a game fully fit in this campaign.

The England international will almost certainly return to the starting line-up for next Saturday’s Premier League match against Burnley.
