According to L'Équipe, Liam Rosenior is set to sign a two-year contract, with an option for a further year, to take charge of Paris FC on Thursday, barring a late hitch. The Englishman will return to France in the role.

Paris FC’s pre-season, originally slated for Wednesday then pushed back by eight days, will begin on nine July with medical testing in small groups. On his 42nd birthday, Rosenior is due to be in place and at Orly to meet the squad.

Following Stéphane Gilli and Antoine Kombouaré, whose departure is being finalised as he had one year left on his deal, the club are set for a third head coach in 12 months. Paris FC were promoted to Ligue 1 last year.

Rosenior had emerged in recent weeks as the hierarchy’s priority, valued for his demanding approach and high-risk football, shaped by his spell at Strasbourg from July 2024 to January 2026.

It is also a restart for Rosenior after a brief stint of under four months at Chelsea, which yielded 10 defeats in 23 matches. His backroom staff has not yet been disclosed.

Paris FC will face Reims (L2) in a first friendly on 18 July, then head to a training camp from 24 July to one August at Adidas’s base in Herzogenaurach.
