With that strike, she reached 160 goals as a Rojiblanca and tied Omar Bravo as the top scorers in club history.

Surrounded by defenders, she executed a high-quality turn that caught the back line off guard. The “Goal Predator” unleashed a powerful shot that beat the goalkeeper and found the back of the net, silencing El Volcán for the temporary 0-2 lead. That goal also marked her 100th with her right foot while representing the Rebaño Sagrado.

Now, Cervantes has a date with history. On April 20, when Chivas Femenil visits Juárez, she will have the opportunity to become the club’s all-time leading scorer outright. The setting adds even more significance: it was against that very opponent that everything began, when she scored her first goal for Chivas on June 12, 2020.
