The Hammadi Agrebi Stadium in Radès will set the stage this Sunday, November 9, for a highly anticipated capital city derby between Espérance Sportive de Tunis and Club Africain, as part of Matchday 14 in the Tunisian championship.
At the top of Ligue 1 with 30 points, Espérance holds a three-point advantage over their fierce rivals. This clash promises to be electrifying, with both sides desperate for victory.
The "Blood and Gold" are looking to tighten their grip on first place, while the "Red and White" are out for a win that would put them right back in the title race.
Espérance welcomes back nearly all of its previously injured players, notably Algerian defender Mohamed Amine Tougaï, who missed the last few games.
Coach Moez Kanzari is expected to field an attacking line-up, aiming to notch another victory and strengthen the club's hold on the top spot.
The team will rely on several key assets, including French striker Florian Danho, who is set to lead the line as center-forward.
Here is the probable line-up for the Blood and Gold in this capital city derby:
Club Africain will be without their Congolese winger Philippe Kinzumbi, who is suspended after accumulating too many bookings.
However, there’s good news for the fans: striker Firas Chaouat returns to the squad after playing only a handful of minutes in the last match against Stade Tunisien.
Coach Faouzi Benzarti is likely to opt for a balanced line-up, capable of posing tactical challenges to their opponents, with the aim of returning to winning ways and reigniting the race for the top of the table.
