New push from Lille for the Moroccan international.
Hamza Igamane / Rangers FC
The name Hamza Igamane is once again linked with Lille. According to several sources close to the matter, LOSC has reopened talks with Glasgow Rangers to secure the services of the young Moroccan striker. The player himself is eager to make the move to Ligue 1.
At 22 years old, Hamza Igamane has emerged as one of Morocco's brightest football prospects. After coming through the ranks at FAR Rabat, he joined Rangers in the summer of 2024. During the 2024/25 season, he tallied 12 goals in 33 Premiership matches and netted four times in 10 Europa League appearances.
According to our sources, Igamane has repeatedly expressed his desire to play in Ligue 1, a league that better suits his style of play and sporting ambitions. Lille is his top priority, and the player is reportedly willing to make financial concessions to help facilitate the move.
Negotiations between Lille and Rangers have been reignited in recent days, but no agreement has been reached yet. The Scottish club, which paid a modest fee to sign him, is hoping to make a significant profit on a player who is still under contract. LOSC, meanwhile, is reluctant to overpay for a player who remains a relative unknown to the wider public, but is counting on his determination to tip the scales in their favor.
