Bronze has just completed her seventh major tournament for the Lionesses and played a leading role as they retained their European crown by winning Euro 2025.

The 33-year-old started all six of England’s games in Switzerland, despite playing with a fractured tibia.

Bronze stressed after the Euros how she was willing to play through the pain barrier for her country and she has no plans to hang up her boots.

England have never won the World Cup and Bronze seemingly has one eye on that tournament in Brazil in two years’ time.

Bronze was asked about her future during England’s trophy parade on Tuesday, which featured an open-top bus procession along The Mall before a ceremony at the Queen Victoria Memorial.

And asked on stage by host Alex Scott about how she had hinted that she is not giving up yet, Bronze said: “Not yet! I think we are both on 140 [caps], right?

“It’s just amazing. This moment is unbelievable. We did it three years ago, but to do this again and come back to this is incredible.

“Thank you so much to each and every one of my team-mates. I think they all know how much they mean to me, to each other.

“The group effort that we had in this tournament was unbelievable. From every single player, from 1 to 23, I have never seen anything like it.

“Every single day in training, every single game, before games, after games, every single player has played such a huge part in the history of what this team has created this summer.”
