Sunderland could face a summer battle to keep Enzo Le Fée, with Liverpool and other Champions League-chasing sides monitoring the midfielder, TEAMtalk reports.
The 26-year-old has been a key figure in Sunderland’s Premier League campaign, delivering four goals and six assists in 31 appearances and showcasing calmness, vision and technique in midfield.
Liverpool are not alone, with several top-flight clubs pursuing European places said to be tracking developments, which could create a competitive market. Sunderland are understood to be looking to protect their position by offering improved deals to core players.
Le Fée is viewed as central to those plans alongside team-mate Noah Sadiki. The report adds that he is currently content on Wearside, although a move to an elite club could be difficult to resist if a formal approach arrives.
He joined permanently last summer after an initial loan, with Sunderland paying around £20 million to AS Roma. His contract runs to 2029, underlining the club’s long-term commitment following his strong first season.
