In a recent report, journalist Graeme Bailey claimed that Liverpool are keeping a keen eye on Bournemouth defender Marcos Senesi. It has been mentioned that the Reds would face competition from Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Chelsea, Aston Villa, Everton, Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United and Sunderland in the race to land the Argentine centre-back this summer.
Senesi has enjoyed a good run of form for Bournemouth this season as he has produced a string of impressive displays for them on the defensive end of the field. The 28-year-old has made 32 appearances for the Cherries during this campaign, securing four assists in the process across all fronts.
The Argentine talent has proven himself to be a consistent performer in the Premier League. Hence, the Reds would do well to lure him to Merseyside this off-season.
His current contract at the Vitality Stadium will run out at the end of this campaign, which could open the door for Liverpool to sign him on a free transfer later this year.

Senesi is a good tackler of the ball and can read the danger well to earn the ball back for his team inside his half. He doesn’t mind putting his foot through the ball when needed and is a good passer as well.
Standing at 1.84m, the Argentine sensation is a strong presence in the air as well. He is already quite familiar with the Premier League and won’t take much time to adjust to life at the Merseyside club.
We can expect Senesi to add more bite and steel to Liverpool’s defensive department. He has what it takes to fight for a regular first-team spot at Anfield next season and could serve as an ideal replacement for Ibrahima Konate, who is currently on an expiring contract at the Premier League club.
At 28, Senesi has his peak years ahead of him, which makes him a decent choice for the Reds to consider at the end of this campaign. He might even help Liverpool challenge for some major honours over the next few years. All in all, the Merseyside giants would be wise to try everything they can to acquire his services on a free transfer later this year.
