Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, journalist Pete O’Rourke claimed that Liverpool are keeping a keen eye on Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton. O’Rourke said,

“I don’t see Palace willing to let him go with everything else that’s been going on at the club.

“There’s no doubt there will be interest in Adam Wharton coming to summer transfer window.

“Liverpool are admirers of him, Manchester United are also admirers of him as well and there’s interest from other Premier Leagues and from abroad.

“Look, I’m sure Palace are readying themselves for interest and offers for Adam Wharton in the summer transfer window.

“They’ll face a real fight to keep hold of him in the summer window with the likes of Liverpool, Man United, Chelsea plus others probably all very much interested in the 21 year old.”

Wharton’s Impressive Form In The Premier League

Wharton has enjoyed a good run of form at the London club and deserves credit for putting in a run of impressive displays for them at the centre of the park. The 21-year-old has secured three assists in 31 matches for the Eagles this season across all competitions.

The English talent is currently among the best midfielders in the Premier League. Thus, Liverpool will do well to lure him to Anfield next summer.
