In a recent report, Fichajes mentioned that Liverpool are set to rival Barcelona for Paris Saint-Germain talent Bradley Barcola. It has been claimed that the Reds are eyeing a move to bring the French wide player to Merseyside this summer.

Barcola’s Impressive Record In French Football

Barcola has managed to shine at times with his performances on the left side of PSG’s attack this season. The 23-year-old has done well to score 12 times and secure seven assists in 47 matches for the French outfit in this campaign on all fronts.

The French sensation is currently among the most talented wide players in Ligue 1. Thus, it is no wonder that the Reds are showing interest in recruiting him this off-season.

His current contract at Paris Saint-Germain will expire in the summer of 2028, which could make it tough for Liverpool to sign him on a cut-price deal later this year.

Will Barcola Be A Good Option For Liverpool?

Barcola has got the pace to cause some problems for his marker out in the wide areas. He is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and can strike it with venom from long range.

The French sensation has got the eye to play some decisive passes in and around the opponent’s penalty area. Barcola can contribute by scoring and creating his fair share of goals from the flanks. He is primarily a left-sided wide player but can also operate as a right-winger or play as a centre-forward if required. However, it remains to be seen whether the French talent can make a smooth transition to life in the Premier League.

We can expect Barcola to bring more pace and goals to Liverpool‘s frontline. He has what it takes to nail down a regular first-team spot at Anfield next season.

Furthermore, Barcola could serve as an ideal replacement for Mohamed Salah at the Merseyside club in the long run. At 23, he has got a bright future ahead of him, which makes him a great option for the Reds to consider at the end of this campaign. However, Liverpool have to give Barcola some time to adjust to life in England before they can get the best out of the player.
