In a recent report, journalist Pete O’Rourke claimed that Liverpool could move in for Red Bull Leipzig winger Antonio Nusa. It is believed that the Reds are planning to launch a move to acquire the services of the Norwegian wide player this summer.

Nusa’s Impressive Season In German Football

Nusa has caught the eye at times with his performances on the left side of Leipzig’s attack during this campaign. The 21-year-old has scored five times and picked up four assists in 35 matches for the German club this season across all fronts.

The Norwegian talent is currently one of the most gifted young wingers in the Bundesliga. Therefore, it is no surprise that Liverpool are eyeing a move to sign him this off-season.

His current contract at the German club will run out in the summer of 2029, which could make it tough for the Reds to land him on the cheap later this year.

Should Liverpool Boss Arne Slot Get Nusa On Board?

Nusa is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and can make a few driving runs with it out in the wide areas. He has got the vision to create some inviting chances for his teammates in the final third and can shoot the ball with power from long range.

The Norwegian sensation can chip in by scoring and creating a handful of important goals for his team from the flanks. Nusa is primarily a left-winger but can also fill in as a right-sided wide player if told to do so. However, it remains to be seen whether he can cope with the physical side and high intensity of the Premier League if the Reds manage to bring him to Anfield this summer.

We can expect Nusa to enhance the quality of Liverpool boss Arne Slot’s attack. He is more than capable of fighting with Rio Ngumoha for a regular starting role at Anfield next season.

At 21, Nusa has got the potential to be a future star in English football. Thus, the Merseyside club would be wise to go all out to get him on board at the end of this campaign. Furthermore, Nusa might even serve as a decent replacement for Mohamed Salah, who is set to leave the Premier League club later this year.
