In a recent report, journalist Fraser Fletcher claimed that Liverpool have held talks to land Al-Ittihad winger Moussa Diaby. It has been mentioned that the Reds are eyeing a move to bring the France international to Merseyside this summer.
Diaby has enjoyed a good run of form at the Saudi club as he has put in a run of impressive displays for them in the final third. The 26-year-old has found the back of the net three times and earned 13 assists in 33 matches for Al-Ittihad this season across multiple competitions.
The French wide player is currently one of the best playmakers in Saudi football. Thus, it makes sense for Liverpool to try and bring him back to England this summer.
His current contract at the Saudi club will expire in the summer of 2029, which could make it tough for the Reds to sign him on the cheap later this year.

Diaby is a decent dribbler with the ball at his feet and has got the vision to create a lot of key chances for his teammates on the offensive end of the field. He can strike the ball with venom from long range and can contribute by picking up his fair share of assists from the wide areas.
The French sensation is primarily a right-sided wide player but can also operate as a left-winger or as a centre-forward if told to do so by his manager. He has got some experience in the Premier League from his time at Aston Villa and won’t take much time to adjust to life at Liverpool.
Diaby would undoubtedly bring more firepower to Arne Slot’s attack. He is good enough to serve as an ideal successor to Mohamed Salah at the Merseyside club.
At 26, Diaby has his peak years ahead of him, which makes him a great choice for the Reds to consider at the end of this campaign. He might even help Liverpool challenge for some major silverware over the next few years. Therefore, it is only logical for the Reds to try everything they can to lure him to Anfield this off-season.
