Chelsea forward Christopher Nkunku is on Liverpool’s radar, according to Foot Mercato.
The Reds have reportedly shown early interest and have already initiated contact with
The 27-year-old joined Chelsea in 2023 but has struggled to find his best form. He is now open to a move away from Stamford Bridge.
Nkunku was in brilliant form during his time at RB Leipzig. He won the Bundesliga Golden Boot and was one of the most feared attackers in Europe.
He is hoping to rediscover that form after a difficult spell in London. Despite his struggles, he has bagged 14 goals and five assists in all competitions this season.
Newcastle United and Bayern Munich are also keen on the French forward as they aim to improve their attacking options. Bayern have had a long-standing interest in signing the forward.
Nkunku’s ability to play across the forward line makes him a useful option for any top club. His pace, movement and eye for goal still make him a serious threat.
While Chelsea are not pushing to sell, they may be open to letting him go if a good offer comes in.
The link with Liverpool is probably agent-led, as Nkunku does not fit their style of play.
A return to the Bundesliga is the most likely outcome for a player who has flattered to deceive in English football.
