Liverpool ‘pushing to sign’ Yan Diomande before the World Cup | OneFootball

Sky Germany reports that Liverpool are pushing to sign RB Leipzig’s 19-year-old winger Yan Diomande before this summer’s World Cup, when he is set to represent Ivory Coast.

The Athletic has reported that Liverpool view Diomande as a priority target after his breakout Bundesliga season.

At a media roundtable earlier this month, Diomande said the idea of clubs such as Chelsea or Real Madrid would make you happy and more motivated, but he is focused on the pitch. He added that outside noise stays off the pitch and that interest gives him motivation.

Leipzig want to keep the winger for at least another season and are ready to offer him improved terms.

Even so, they could consider a sale if an extraordinary bid of more than €100 million arrives.
