According to a report from David Ornstein, Liverpool have reached an agreement with Eintracht Frankfurt to sign Hugo Ekitiké (23) for a fee in the region of €95m. The former Paris Saint-Germain attacker has already reached an agreement on personal terms with the Premier League champions.
The €95m fee is inclusive of add-ons and would be a club record fee for Frankfurt if they were all to be met. This would eclipse the fee that PSG paid for Randal Kolo Muani – Les Parisiens paid €90m for the Juventus loanee.
Ekitiké will sign a 6-year contract with the Reds that would keep him at Anfield until 2031, Fabrice Hawkins understands. Newcastle United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United have all shown an interest in signing the 23-year-old, but Ekitiké has made joining the Merseyside outfit his priority. He looks to have his wish with an agreement reached between the two clubs.
