Premier League champions Liverpool are ready to spend big to bring in a member of the defensive ranks at Barcelona this summer.
This comes amid the understanding that the Reds have set their sights on the signature of Jules Koundé.
Stopper Koundé has for his part seen his name take its place in the transfer chatter in Catalunya’s capital throughout the current season.
As much comes with the Frenchman struggling to rediscover his brilliant best form.
After standing out as one of the best right-backs in Europe during the 2024/25 campaign, Koundé has come in for regular criticism this term for his inconsistencies on both sides of the ball.
Such woes have seen it suggested that, for the right price, Barcelona could in turn be open to a sale.
And as alluded to above, if the latest word stemming from the media this week is anything to go by, then one outfit seemingly ready to meet the demands of the Camp Nou brass are Liverpool.
As per a report from Mundo Deportivo, citing the Daily Mail:
‘Liverpool would be willing to pay 80 million euros for the right-back of Barça and the French national team.’
