Liverpool: Salah breathes a huge sigh of relief
Nothing seems to be going right for Mohamed Salah at the start of this season. The captain of the Egypt national team is going through one of the toughest spells of his career at Liverpool. Less incisive, lacking his usual finishing touch, and far from his typical statistical standards, the Pharaoh is no longer shining as brightly as he did during his golden years in a Reds shirt.
Under the guidance of Arne Slot, Salah appears to be struggling to adapt to the tactical demands of the Dutch manager. His attacking influence has noticeably diminished, prompting some pundits—like Jamie Carragher—to openly suggest he should "take a breather on the bench."
Nevertheless, Liverpool is not considering a sale or an early exit. Still under contract with the club until 2027, Salah remains in control of his future. Yet, if his form doesn’t pick up soon, the question of his place in the starting eleven could quickly become a hot topic at Anfield.
