Liverpool sign Bayern Munich midfielder Kerr on loan | OneFootball

Liverpool have completed the signing of Bayern Munich midfielder Sam Kerr on a loan deal until the end of the season.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Reds a short time ago.

The 25-year-old joins Liverpool off the back of spending the last 18 months with Bayern. Kerr has made 21 appearances for Bayern in the Google Pixel Frauen-Bundesliga over the course of the last one-and-a-half-seasons while she helped the club win the German title in 2023/2024. Prior to her time in Germany, Kerr turned out for Glasgow City and Rangers.

On the international stage, Kerr has 32 senior caps for Scotland while she has netted one goal for her country.

After signing on at Liverpool, Kerr said “I’m really excited for my time here. I spoke to Matt [Beard] and obviously the club before I came, and I love their ambitions and am really excited to get started.

“I feel like my career in the last few years has really changed a lot. Obviously moving to Germany was a challenge in itself, being in that intense environment with world class players has been really good for my development.

“With the national team, I’ve grown into the role which has been really good and I’m hoping to bring my experience and the things I’ve learned over the last couple of years to Liverpool in this loan move.”

Kerr is Liverpool’s first signing of the January transfer window.
