Liverpool look set to conduct a summer overhaul in the transfer market. The club have been linked with several star names - including Florian Wirtz - and have already secured the signing of Jeremie Frimpong.
Sporting director Richard Hughes and head coach Arne Slot are also eyeing long-term solutions at left-back, which has become a priority position for the summer market.
Andy Robertson, 31, is out of contract in 2026 and wasn’t always at his best last season. Kostas Tsimikas, meanwhile, has never truly convinced that he could take over from the Scotland international on a full-time basis.
The duo shared duties throughout the 2024/25 season but an upgrade is being sought.
Milos Kerkez looks like he is the chosen candidate - and is said to be close to completing a £45m transfer from Bournemouth in the upcoming days.
There won’t be space for three senior left-backs at the club however and one of Robertson and Tsimikas should leave. The Greek, 29, is out of contract in 2027 and would probably bring in more money than if Robertson was sold.
And now Tsimikas has been linked with a return to former club Olympiacos - following earlier transfer rumours suggesting he was a target for Leeds.

“Olympiacos is looking favorably on the prospect of "Tsimi" returning to the port,” reads a report in Metrosport in Greece.
The Greek champions are seeking to bolster their squad ahead of a return to the Champions League. Tsimikas would provide experience and quality for the 2024 UEFA Europa Conference League winners. He spent five years on the books of Olympiacos before joining Liverpool back in 2020.
Tsimikas played 29 times under Arne Slot during the 2024/25 season. He made nine starts in the Premier League and five in the Champions League. Overall he’s played in 115 matches for the Reds in five years, winning all the major domestic honours during his time at the club.
