Liverpool are understood to be preparing a second bid for RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the club plan a fresh offer after their first proposal, around 100 million, was rejected.

Leipzig would prefer to keep the 19-year-old for another year, while Diomande is open to a move after a breakout debut season in Germany in which he was named Bundesliga Rookie of the Season.

Leipzig signed him from CD Leganés last summer for 20 million, and his rapid rise has made him one of Europe’s most sought-after young attackers.

Diomande is currently representing Côte d’Ivoire at the FIFA World Cup.
