Liverpool have turned down Inter Milan’s second bid of £21 million for Curtis Jones, per The Times.
The Reds value the midfielder at £35m, benchmarking their price tag against Conor Gallagher’s move to Tottenham Hotspur from Atletico Madrid in January for a similar fee.
Jones has been an important member of Liverpool’s first team squad, amassing 228 appearances across all competitions.
However, he has never nailed down a consistent starting role, and the Merseyside giants don’t consider him untouchable.
Jones featured in 30 Premier League games last season, with only 18 coming from the start.
With only a year left on his current contract, Liverpool are not in a strong negotiating position.
Despite the risk of losing the midfielder for nothing next summer, they are not prepared to lower their asking price.
Liverpool have already confirmed the departures of Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson, while Ibrahima Konate is on his way to Real Madrid on a free transfer.
There is also speculation about the futures of Virgil van Dijk, Alisson, Joe Gomez and Wataru Endo, who are all out of contract in 2027.
