Liverpool vs Crystal Palace: Slot predicts tough test to break down Eagles | OneFootball

Arne Slot has predicted that Liverpool will face a tough task to break down a ‘disciplined’ Crystal Palace team this weekend.

Liverpool welcome Crystal Palace to Anfield aiming to overturn a poor recent record against the Eagles. The Reds have lost their last three meetings with Palace and have won only one of the last six in all competitions.

Slot is braced for another tough challenge, against an Eagles side with one of the best defensive records in the division. Only Arsenal and Manchester City have conceded fewer goals than Palace in the Premier League this season.

“As always, what makes it difficult is the players you face. They have a good team. They already had a good team two or three years ago,” Slot said at his pre-match press conference.

“Of course, they have a very good manager [Oliver Glasner] who is able to bring a lot of discipline to that team, and he is really hard to create chances against them.

“It doesn’t matter what game you are watching. You haven’t seen the other team create a chance against them.

“On the other hand, they are very direct with their attacking style. I think they have conceded after Arsenal the least goals. That tells you a lot.”
