Caughtoffside are one of those looking into a move for Lille's Ayyoub Bouaddi - apparently viewing him as someone who could play in their midfield for the next 10 years. It's easy to see why.
Bouaddi is a player who can do a bit of everything in midfield, after all. He's perhaps not one to get off too many shots but the 18-year-old is someone who wins tackles and progresses the ball forward.
He beautifully splits his touches across the pitch, having most of his in midfield and then splitting the remaining touches across the defensive and attacking thirds. Bouaddi is 75th percentile among midfielders for touches in the attacking penalty area, too, while he's 70th percentile for winning tackles.
The fact he's 94th percentile for take-ons as an 18-year-old is remarkable - and shows where his potential lies. He's an all-action midfielder in the making, essentially filling the same role as Mac Allister.
If the Reds are destined to sell the Argentine and avoid renewing his contract, his replacement may well be the teenager. And you'd have to say it's a switch that may make a lot of sense.
