Lloris, Mukhtar, Paulinho headline Champions Cup Quarterfinals Best XI

MIAMI – The Quarterfinals of the 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup concluded with four teams advancing to the Semifinals.
There were many excellent individual performances, yet these 11 players stood out the most in their respective positions.
Goalkeeper
Hugo Lloris, Los Angeles FC - The French World Cup winner was stellar for LAFC, making five saves in the First Leg to record a clean sheet. He had a standout performance in the Second Leg with eight saves to help the MLS side oust the reigning Champions Cup winners Cruz Azul.
Defenders
Jesús Gallardo, Deportivo Toluca FC - Gallardo continues to be a vital part of Toluca’s success, racking up 110 passes and five interceptions to add onto a goal scored.
Jeisson Palacios, Nashville SC - The Colombian held down a strong defensive effort that recorded two clean sheets against Club América. He completed 142 passes and have five tackles.
Maxwell Woledzi, Nashville SC - Woledzi was crucial in Nashville’s structure both ways, recording 130 passes and two interceptions for the well-balanced MLS side.
Midfielders
Mathieu Choinière, Los Angeles FC - The Canadian midfielder came up big in the First Leg with a pair of assists in the 3-nil victory.
Nicolás Castro, Deportivo Toluca FC - Castro recorded a goal and an assist go along with 104 passes as part of two dominant Toluca performances.
Albert Rusnák, Seattle Sounders FC - Rusnák was efficient in attack with two goals in the Second Leg as the Sounders fell just short of advancing, losing the series on away goals.
Hany Mukhtar, Nashville SC - The Nashville captain came up clutch with the lone goal in the series, pushing the MLS side through with a strike in the 51’ of the Second Leg in Mexico City.
Forwards
Paulinho, Deportivo Toluca FC - The Portuguese striker was unstoppable as he recorded a hat trick in the First Leg and followed it up with a brace in the Second Leg.
David Martínez, Los Angeles FC - Martínez stole the show in the First Leg with two brilliant goals that set the tone and helped LAFC punch its ticket to the Semifinals.
Ozziel Herrera, Tigres UANL - Herrera netted the opening goal for Tigres in the First Leg. He finished with three shots on target and 50 passes over the two matches.
