Manuel Locatelli believes it is better for Juventus to draw 0-0 with Milan at San Siro than 4-4 with Inter, as that thriller was more of a ‘rollercoaster ride’ than a tactical chess match.
The Bianconeri were decimated by injuries, including Dusan Vlahovic and Nico Gonzalez, so had to use Teun Koopmeiners as an unorthodox False 9.
Nonetheless, they had more shots on goal and more on target than Milan at San Siro, as well as more possession.
“We moved well as a team and had the right attitude,” Locatelli told DAZN.
It was another draw at San Siro, albeit a very different experience to the 4-4 thriller here against Inter last month.
“We all remember Inter-Juve, but that was a very strange game. It’s true we failed to score today, but we have to look at the positive aspects.
“I realise that Inter-Juve was very exciting, but I think it’s better to play with balance rather than be on a rollercoaster ride.”

The situation was trickier for Juve considering they were without a single genuine striker available.
“Strikers decide games and we had to compensate for that today, so we need to be realistic,” added Locatelli.
The former Milan midfielder was captain this evening too and partnered Khephren Thuram in the middle of the park.
“Khephren and his brother Marcus are two great guys, so we have to compliment their parents for their upbringing. I think Juve signed a great player who will help us for many years to come, but I also really like him as a person.”
Juventus have now drawn seven of their 13 Serie A matches so far this season, so are worse off than at this stage last term, even if they are still unbeaten domestically.
