Lorent Tolaj's future at Plymouth Argyle is up in the air going into the summer transfer window
Plymouth Argyle narrowly missed out on a play-off place after a resurgent second half of the campaign under Tom Cleverley.
The Pilgrims finished eighth in the League One table, coming just two points behind sixth place Stevenage.
Cleverley’s side lost just one of their last 12 league games to bring them back into promotion contention after they were initially fearing a relegation battle.
The Devon outfit suffered relegation to the third tier 12 months’ prior, and were keen to fight for their place back in the Championship at the first attempt.
It promises to be a busy summer transfer window at Home Park as the club looks to bridge the gap to the top teams.
However, Plymouth are also facing the risk of losing key players after they were unable to return to the second division, with a host of stars at Home Park having garnered widespread interest in recent times.

It has been reported by Football Insider that Rangers are keen to sign Lorent Tolaj this summer, with the update noting that his exit appears increasingly likely.
The forward enjoyed a strong campaign with Plymouth, and that has led to significant interest in his services going into the upcoming transfer window.
Danny Rohl is keen to bolster his attacking options for next season, and has set his sights on the 24-year-old.
The Swiss striker contributed 18 goals and eight assists, and was a key figure as the club fought their way into the play-off mix.
However, the Pilgrims’ failure to secure a top six finish has called into question the future of Tolaj.
The likes of Sheffield United, Derby County, Stoke City and Preston North End have all also been linked with a deal for the League One star.
A departure from Home Park is looking increasingly likely at this stage, even with his contract not expiring until June 2029.
Tolaj joined Plymouth last summer from Port Vale on a four-year deal, but he could now make the jump to the Scottish Premiership, or perhaps even the Championship.
It remains to be seen what kind of figure it would take to convince Plymouth to cash in at this stage.
The Devon outfit will be hoping to contend for promotion next season, but the chance to step up in level will be quite tempting for the 24-year-old.
The transfer window doesn’t officially open until 15 June, meaning there is still plenty of time for this transfer saga to develop further.
It will be extremely disappointing for Plymouth to lose Tolaj this summer, but it would be surprising if he stays at this stage.
The number of clubs circling around him will be difficult to fend off for the Pilgrims now that they’re consigned to another year of League One football.
He was a crucial part of their strong second half of the campaign, and it will prove quite tricky to replace his attacking output.
Cleverley will be keen to see Plymouth extract as much value from this interest in him, and that the money received can be reinvested back into bolstering the team’s forward options, as it will be needed in order to remain competitive.
