Lucas Paquetá trained with West Ham on Wednesday as Flamengo push to sign him for the 2026 season.

According to Coluna Do Fla, Nuno Espírito Santo oversaw the session with Paquetá present, after the midfielder missed Tuesday's work with part of the squad. Flamengo are ready to pay about 40 million euros, have terms agreed with the player, and are seeking to settle terms with West Ham.

He asked to be left out of the FA Cup tie against QPR on Sunday and was not included in the squad. The players were given Monday off, and he had been expected to report on Tuesday.

West Ham are fighting to avoid relegation in the Premier League and face Tottenham on Saturday, 17 January, at 12:00 Brasília time. Paquetá's availability for that game remains uncertain.

Paquetá is prioritising a return to Flamengo and is pressuring West Ham for a release to play in Brazil this year. He is stepping up efforts to make the move happen.
