M6 has recruited Ludovic Giuly as a consultant for its 2026 World Cup magazine show, with the appointment to be unveiled on Wednesday as the broadcaster finalises its plans for the tournament from 11 June to 19 July.

According to L'Équipe, the channel has completed the deal and will confirm it at a press conference. M6 will air 54 of the 104 matches, while beIN Sports will show the entire competition.

Giuly, the former Barcelona and Monaco winger, will feature alongside hosts Ophélie Meunier and Smaïl Bouabdellah, with Johan Djourou also part of the studio team.

Group president David Larramendy had outlined the broad approach a month ago. For France matches, a dedicated trio will call the action, with Virginie Sainsily reporting from pitchside.

For other fixtures, commentary teams will include Xavier Domergue with Benoît Cheyrou, Julien Brun with Samuel Umtiti, and Hamza Rahmani with François Clerc, plus Jean Resseguié alongside Jean-Marc Ferreri from Paris.

All M6 fixtures will also run on M6+, and the channel has picked every kick-off between 18:00 and 23:00, a total of 47. France’s group-stage schedule features two 21:00 starts, against Senegal on 16 June and Norway on 26 June, with the third at 23:00 against Iraq on 22 June. The seven remaining games fall outside those slots, most at midnight.
