Luis Diaz has reportedly struck an agreement to leave Liverpool with the club.

The Colombian faces an uncertain future at Anfield. Liverpool would like to keep Diaz until the remainder of his contract.

However, at this stage, it is moot whether Diaz is of the same notion. The Colombian has been open to a move away from Anfield with Barcelona and Bayern Munich both interested in his services.

At this moment in time, there is no imminent renewal offer on the table from Liverpool.

Diaz's contract expires in 2027, and at this stage with the winger set to turn 29-years-old come the end of the season, it's unclear whether Liverpool would be willing to offer him a contract extension.

If Liverpool were to let him go, this summer is probably the summer when the Reds can sell him for the most amount of money.

And one report claims that Diaz has already struck an agreement to leave the club for a specific value.

According to COPE the Colombian has a verbal agreement with Liverpool that would allow him to leave for around 82 million euros.

But they claim this is a figure Barcelona will not agree to. Right now, the Spanish side will wait to negotiate with the Reds out of respect for the terrible tragedy which saw Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Silva pass away.

The figure above is £70.5m, and this feels like the bare minimum Liverpool should be letting Diaz leave for.

Not to mention this is an incredibly difficult time for the club. With Jota's passing, everyone is mourning and the fact that news is surfacing about his departure is not ideal.

Liverpool should be given the space and the time they need to grieve before having to deal with transfers.

For Barcelona or Bayern Munich, there is no need to negotiate. If they do want to sign him, if the above report is true, there is a clear fee they will have to pay.

Frankly speaking letting Diaz leave for anything less in the current market would not be the smart option for Liverpool.

The Colombian is definitely worth at least £70.5m, after everything he has done last season. He's a Premier League winner and one of the best players in his position in world football right now.

That's also a reason why Liverpool will be in no rush to sell him. If Barcelona or Bayern are unwilling to pay the club's demands, they can also forget about getting him.
