The Paris Saint-Germain coach and Achraf Hakimi spoke to PSG TV after Les Rouge et Bleu qualified against Aston Villa in the Champions League quarter-finals at Villa Park on Tuesday 15 April.

'In the second half, we suffered; it was very difficult. But I think we have to be prepared for that, our team, our players and our fans. And I would like to thank them, as they are with us and support us every day. We are very happy; we are in the semi-finals for the second year in a row. I think that's a very good thing.

The second half was a very difficult moment. It was complicated on an emotional level. We conceded two goals in three minutes, and that moment could have eliminated us. In the end, I think we need to rest and clearly analyse the match. And we need to improve some aspects of our game. But I'm very happy!'

ACHRAF HAKIMI

'First of all, we're happy. Everyone should be happy, all the Parisians. We did what we needed to do. We didn't win but we qualified. That was the mission we came here to accomplish. We're happy about that. But we didn't want to suffer the way we did.

We need matches like that, matches where we suffer. In this competition there are no easy matches; today we suffered, but we knew how to do it. We have to keep working, there are still a lot of matches to come. We can't slow down.

They show up every time. We thank the fans who came, they've supported us at every stage of the competition, in Paris too. We're glad to have them. We have to keep it up, and we thank them again.'
