Lyon could face Fenerbahçe or Sturm Graz in play-off if they beat Sparta Prague

Lyon already know their potential Champions League play-off opponents, should they get past Sparta Prague in the third qualifying round.

According to L'Équipe, Monday's draw in Nyon set up a tie against Fenerbahçe or Sturm Graz for the winners.

Fenerbahçe, runners-up in Türkiye last season and favourites on paper, have had an ambitious window, highlighted by the arrival of former Marseille player Mason Greenwood. Sturm Graz finished second in Austria.

Paulo Fonseca's side must first overcome the Czech club. The first leg is on Tuesday at 20:00 at Prague's epet Arena.

The return is on 11 August at 21:00 at Groupama Stadium. Only if they advance will Lyon earn a play-off for a place in the Champions League league phase.
