Lyon draw Sparta Prague in Champions League third qualifying round | OneFootball

Olympique Lyonnais will face Sparta Prague in the Champions League third qualifying round in early August, with a place in the league phase at stake.

L'Équipe reports that Monday's draw in Nyon for the 2026-27 competition paired Lyon with the Czech side. Lyon were seeded due to their UEFA coefficient.

The first leg is set for Czechia on four or five August, with the return at Groupama Stadium on 11 August.

Paulo Fonseca's team will need to do better against the runners-up in the Czech league, after a 0-2 friendly defeat to neighbours Slavia Prague.

If OL advance, a play-off would follow, with first legs on 18-19 August and returns on 25-26 August. AS Monaco must wait to learn their future opponent, with the Europa Conference League play-off draw scheduled for 3 August.
