Lyon target move for Juventus’ Jonathan David | OneFootball

Jonathan David (26) left Lille OSC to join Juventus on a free transfer last summer. The Canadian was prolific in Ligue 1 but his form has not translated across the border in Italy. In 46 games in all competitions, he scored just eight goals.

An exit from the Turin-based club is a possibility this summer, despite the forward being under contract until 2030. Le Progres have touted a potential move to Olympique Lyonnais, although competition for his signature may be stiff.

Signing a forward will be a priority for Lyon. The club have already lost Endrick, who has returned to parent club Real Madrid, whilst Rachid Ghezzal will leave upon the expiry of his contract this summer. OL are looking to retain Roman Yaremchuk, Le Progres understands, but the French side are looking to negotiate a cut-price deal with Olympiacos.

David, so prolific at Lille, could be an option for Lyon, where, of course, he would reunite with former Lille manager Paulo Fonseca.
