Monaco trained with a reduced group on Thursday, with Maghnes Akliouche and Denis Zakaria working indoors ahead of Saturday’s trip to Lens at 17:00. Zakaria did not take part in the full session.
According to L'Équipe, the squad reconvened at La Turbie two days after the 2-3 Champions League play-off first-leg defeat to PSG, following a day off.
Before training, Sébastien Pocognoli congratulated new arrivals Simon Adingra and Wout Faes on making their first Champions League appearances, applauded by team-mates. Some players were absent.
Akliouche, a doubt for the PSG match with a pelvis issue, Zakaria and Vanderson remained in the gym for recovery with Lens, the Ligue 1 leaders, looming. Vanderson will be suspended for the match, as will Alexandre Golovine, dismissed against Nantes, 3-1.
Pape Cabral returned to group work on Thursday morning. Lukas Hradecky, Eric Dier and Paul Pogba were still missing.
