Maghnes Akliouche is fit for Monaco’s Ligue 1 home game against Auxerre on Sunday at 15:00, having overcome a dead leg sustained against OM. He was limited to the final 20 minutes in last week’s 1-4 loss at Paris FC. Lamine Camara is suspended.

According to L'Équipe, head coach Sébastien Pocognoli said Akliouche trained well this week and is ready to start, adding he will be in good shape.

With Camara banned and Paul Pogba having played the last 20 minutes at Jean-Bouin, there is a question over whether the world champion could start. Pogba arrived slightly late to Friday’s session wearing a black legging on his right leg, and Pocognoli said he had simply completed an indoor activation. The coach added that players are fit and available, and if available each will have a role.

The session proved costly for Stanis Idumbo, who suffered a shoulder dislocation. Pocognoli would not declare his season over, although that outcome remains possible.

There was encouragement as Caio Henrique featured at the start of training after a thigh problem. Pocognoli said he will rejoin the group gradually next week, and they hope to see him at 100 percent before the season ends. The exact timing, whether in the final three, two or one weeks, will depend on his response to the step up.
