FC Bayern is focusing on seven personnel issues – and they are all heading towards the same date: numerous contracts are due to end in the summer of 2026. kicker now reports on how the German record champions are planning for their stars. Some players have a good chance of a future in Munich, while others are more likely to leave.

Dayot Upamecano is at the top of the list, with the central defender officially allowed to negotiate with other clubs from January – and the situation is becoming correspondingly urgent.

According to kicker, FC Bayern would now like to speed up the talks. The mood is „cautiously confident“ that an agreement will be reached. Upamecano can also imagine an extension in Munich.

Nevertheless, the situation remains sensitive, as the Frenchman is on the radar of major clubs. It was recently reported that Real Madrid had made contact with the defender’s entourage – one more reason why FC Bayern does not want to waste any time.

Gnabry and Goretzka: talks not until 2026

The situation is somewhat different for Serge Gnabry and Leon Goretzka, with FC Bayern not wanting to speak to either star until next year. The club would like to continue monitoring the sporting development of the duo this season.

According to reports, both players would like to stay, but it is clear that they will not be able to stay without a reduction in salary.

Gnabry currently earns around 17 million euros, Goretzka around 17 to 18 million euros. Bayern wants to streamline the salary structure – and is setting clear framework conditions here.

The situation with Raphael Guerreiro is less concrete. Although the Portuguese is valued in sporting terms, his injury history and the strong performances of Davies and Bischof make his future unclear.

Sporting director Christoph Freund recently explained on Sky: „We will talk to him calmly in the coming weeks and months.“

So far, there has been no indication – and the priority is clearly elsewhere.

Neuer stays, Ulreich faces the end of his career

A clear line is emerging in goal: Manuel Neuer is very likely to stay on for another year. His form and importance to the team speak for this. Sven Ulreich, on the other hand, is facing the end of his career according to kicker. Bayern would like to keep the 37-year-old at the club – possibly in the coaching or support team.

Loan player Nicolas Jackson, who arrived from Chelsea FC in the summer, is very likely to leave the club again.

According to the report, the option to buy him for 65 million euros is „almost ruled out“. Jackson has shown signs of promise, but has failed to make a lasting impression as a backup or prospect.
