Major League Soccer has unveiled its team of the season, shining a spotlight on its standout talents. An African player has earned his place in this elite eleven alongside Lionel Messi.

We're talking about Denis Bouanga. Since joining Los Angeles FC in August 2022, the Gabonese star has continued to impress. He found the net 28 times and provided 9 assists in 38 matches this season.

Alongside Heung-Min Son, former Tottenham ace, Bouanga helped the Californian side reach the second round of the MLS playoffs. He scored a brace in his team's 4-1 victory over Austin last Sunday.

This team of the season also includes Lionel Messi, who, at 38, continues to dazzle in the Inter Miami shirt.
