La Liga outfit RCD Mallorca have on Wednesday announced a heavy sanction for a member of the club’s first-team ranks.
The player in question? Dani Rodríguez.
Midfielder Rodríguez for his part turned heads across the Spanish football landscape this past weekend.
As much came after the 37-year-old took to his official social media platforms, to criticise manager Jagoba Arrasate for his selection decisions in the club’s 2-1 defeat to Real Madrid.
And safe to say, these actions have not gone down at all well behind the scenes at Son Moix.
This comes amid confirmation that Mallorca have made the call to take historic measures against the club’s first-team captain.
As per a statement across the website and social media accounts of the Bermellones:
‘RCD Mallorca announces that Dani Rodríguez has been suspended from employment and salary. The club has also stripped him of his captaincy with immediate effect.’
