FULL TIME! LIVERPOOL 1-2 MANCHESTER CITY
What a truly remarkable game of football and what a massive day in the season. Perhaps, the day of the season so far.
City come from behind late on to win at Anfield for just the fourth time in 73 years, and stay alive in the title race.
How big could that be?
That's a crazy decision and no one is happy about it.
RED CARD FOR SZOBOSZLAI!
What an ending.
With Alisson up top, City break and Cherki rolls the ball forward for Haaland and Szoboszlai to hunt down.
They pull at each other and the ball just goes straight in.
There's a ridiculous VAR check to stop the goal and send off Szoboszlai who pulled first.
WHAT A SAVE!
Donnarumma makes an incredible save to deny Mac Allister.
This is incredible drama.
Ait-Nouri fires straight at Alisson as City break.
Will Liverpool get one last chance?
90 seconds to go.
Federico Chiesa is on but he puts a low cross straight at his international teammate, Donnarumma.
The City fans are going bananas behind the goal and Anfield is silenced.
Surely that's it?? Minutes to go.
HAALAND SCORES! 2-1 TO CITY!
A nerveless spot kick from the Norwegian who sends it into the bottom corner despite Alisson going the right way.
Massive.
Just a reminder - Erling Haaland has never scored for Manchester City at Anfield.
He has scored for Salzburg back in 2019 but this is absolutely massive.
The striker will have to wait as Nunes is down receiving treatment. Oh, the tension.
PENALTY TO MAN CITY!
Alisson takes down Matheus Nunes after the full-back nicks the ball past him.
Huge, huge, huge moment in the season.
Seven minutes of added time!
Here we go.
Semenyo plays a ball into the box first time after City break.
He should really do better as the ball is easily claimed by Alisson.
Both sides going for the win now.
What an ending we have in store.
Such is how football works, Szoboszlai was the player who played Bernardo onside.
A third goal at Anfield for the Portuguese and his first of the season. Talk about timing.
GOAL! CITY LEVEL!
Out of nowhere!
Haaland flicks on a cross and Bernardo Silva is right there to nick the ball past Alisson.
Huge goal.
Phil Foden is still sat on the bench.
Surely Pep has to roll the dice right away.
Three wins for City at Anffield in 53 visits stretching back to 1953.
It looks like it'll soon be three in 54.
Take a bow, Dominik Szoboszlai.
Little over 15 minutes plus added time for City to grab an equaliser.
Liverpool are very much on top here.
GOAL! LIVERPOOL LEAD!
Absolutely incredible from Szoboszlai.
He's smacked a free-kick in from 35 yards that's left Donnarumma with no chance.
Liverpool lead and how can City respond???
Haaland has barely had a sniff in this second half.
His poor run looks set to go on.
Salah blasts the resulting free kick high and wide. He should be doing better there.
Guéhi takes Salah down right on the edge of the box.
He receives a yellow and this is a real chance for Liverpool.
We're now into the final quarter of the game.
Surely we'll see a goal? Surely?
This is end to end and Wirtz misses a glorious opportunity.
The ball comes his way inside the box but instead of rifling it into the corner, he side foots it and Guéhi is able to block.
It opens up for Dias and he lets one fly with his left foot.
It goes just wide of Alisson's post. What a return that would have been.
City break brilliantly down the left but Semenyo doesn't time his run and is flagged offside.
He has to do better there.
This is Dias' first appearance since injuring his hamstring in the draw with Chelsea in early January.
Rayan Cherki is also on for Omar Marmoush.
The Uzbek defender is up and moving, but he's come off here.
He's saying he's okay but Rúben Dias is stripped and ready to go.
It's the correct medical call from the physio.
AND AGAIN!
Gakpo is offside but he didn't know that when he fired one over the bar from close range.
Khusanov is now down receiving treatment having fallen into Donnarumma trying to block the Dutchman's shot.
WHAT A MISS!
Ekitike has missed the chance of the game so far.
Liverpool break after Semenyo fires straight at Alisson and Salah digs one out to find the French forward.
He has to score but he puts it wide of Donnarumma's post.
Liverpool have upped the tempo to start the second half with Hugo Ekitike coming very close to bending one into the top corner.
The first goal here feels huge...if we get one!
And we're back underway.
Huge 45 minutes ahead.
HALF TIME!
Goalless at the break of a game that has had a lot of bright sparks but hasn't fully taken off yet.
Arne Slot will be the happier manager given how dominant City were at points.
Two minutes go up on the board.
Salah goes down looking for a penalty after slight contact from Bernardo Silva. Never being given.
The steam has slightly gone out of this game as we near half-time.
A goal would reignite this, and then some.
Haaland connects with Rodri's drilled cross but the angle is tight and Alisson claims the ball.
The Reds have come right back into this in the last five to ten minutes.
Guéhi is getting half-hearted boos every time he touches the ball.
The England man came minutes away from joining Liverpool on deadline day in the summer but is now with Guardiola's side.
He's had a strong first half hour here.
Donnarumma makes a mess of an in-swinging cross from Szoboszlai but Salah can't get his effort on target.
He has a stunning record against City but he hasn't looked at his sharpest here so far.
And there's the proof.
Alexis Mac Allister whips a ball into Salah but his touch isn't perfect and Guéhi gets there to deflect his shot out for a corner.
Pep Guardiola will be delighted with his side's start here but will know Liverpool will come back into it.
What he'd do for a goal.
City have bossed this game so far in terms of possession and openings but it remains goalless after 20 minutes.
Omar Marmoush is the latest to fire wide.
Antoine Semenyo looks to have the beating of Milos Kerkez so far.
An interesting battle ahead between the two former Bournemouth teammates.
More risky passing at the back from City which is the last thing you should do in the early stages at Anfield.
They just about get away with it.
Khusanov gets the other side of Ryan Gravenberch but heads over from Bernardo Silva's free-kick.
City have had a few openings in the first 10 minutes.
It's a frantic start here with Mohamed Salah almost being found by Hugo Ekitike.
City were messing around at the back and Guehi's had a quick word with his defensive partner Abdukodir Khusanov.
CLOSE!
Erling Haaland has never scored a Premier League goal at Anfield but he has come ever so close inside two minutes here.
The ball is slipped into his path by Bernardo Silva but Alisson is there to just about to stop a very early opener.
KICK OFF!
And we're off at Anfield.
The players are in the tunnel.
This feels like a huge one.
City sit nine points off leaders Arsenal, meaning there is little to no room for error while Liverpool are four and five points adrift of Chelsea and Manchester United in the race for Champions League qualification.
Throw in the history between these two sides, the possibility of this being Pep Guardiola's last league trip to Anfield and so much more, and this could hardly be set up any better.
Just under half and hour to go until kick off at Anfield.
Both sides need to win so it should hopefully make for a real thriller.

GOAAAL! PALACE LEAD!
The deadlock is FINALLY broken and it's the visitors who land the first blow. On the hour mark, Ismaïla Sarr finds space and is played through on goal before he finishes brilliantly.
Brighton 0-1 Crystal Palace
Quiet start to the second half...
The deadlock is yet to be broken on the south coast. Palace make their first change as Pino is replaced by Guessand.
