Bompastor is widely considered one of the best French players ever, making 156 appearances for her country.
She was a serial winner with French side Lyon before becoming their head coach in 2021 and became the first woman ever to win the Champions League as a player and a manager by the end of her first season in charge.
Lyon won the Division 1 Feminine in each of her three seasons in charge before Bompastor moved to Chelsea in the summer of 2024 – winning a domestic Treble followed in her maiden campaign in England.

We last met at the Joie Stadium in a 1-0 defeat in the Subway Women’s League Cup semi-final.
City hit the woodwork twice and forced several fine saves from Chelsea keeper Hannah Hampton.
But Wieke Kaptein’s header on the stroke of half-time proved the difference as we suffered just our second loss of the 2025/26 campaign.

Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw fired home a late winner in a 2-1 victory at London City Lionesses as we moved nine points clear at the top of the WSL.
Kerolin gave City an early lead after an excellent team move and, despite the hosts hitting the woodwork twice, we went in a goal to the good at the break.
London City drew level with around 20 minutes to play when Freya Godfrey rifled into the roof of the net before Bunny struck in the 86th minute.
