Man City set to beat Arsenal to signing – latest transfer reports

Arsenal look set to miss out on one of England’s brightest young talents, with Jeremy Monga now expected to join Manchester City despite the Gunners’ long-standing interest.
Mikel Arteta had been hopeful of landing the highly rated Leicester City winger but Man City have now emerged as favourites.
According to The Athletic, Arsenal felt the £10m valuation for the 16-year-old winger was too high.
Elsewhere, Real Madrid have denied having any interest in signing Enzo Fernandez from Chelsea this summer.
“In light of the reports and statements that have appeared in recent days regarding an alleged interest from Real Madrid CF in the player Enzo Fernández, the club wishes to state that it has not made any effort, either direct or indirect, to sign the aforementioned player and, likewise, has no intention of undertaking such an operation,” Real Madrid said in a statement.
Manchester United have held initial talks with West Ham about singing their winger Crysencio Summerville.
Sky Sports also say they remain keen on midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni and Alex Scott.
United goalkeeper Andre Onana has re-joined Trabzonspor on another season-long loan, meanwhile.
Joao Palhinha has confirmed he will not be joining Tottenham on a permanent basis following his loan spell last season.
Fenerbahce have announced a deal to sign Nathan Ake from Manchester City.
Granit Xhaka will be staying at Sunderland despite interest from Chelsea, Sky Sports say.
Though one player who looks set to be leaving the Stadium of Light is striker Eliezer Mayenda, who is close to joining Rennes for around £22m.
