Rodri, the 2024 Ballon d'Or winner, is at risk of facing a heavy sanction in England.

Rodri has found himself in the crosshairs of the English Football Association. On Friday, the FA announced the opening of disciplinary proceedings against the Manchester City midfielder following his post-match comments after City's 2-2 draw with Tottenham on February 1.

Rodri questioned the neutrality of the officiating team, stating that "the referee must be neutral" and that some decisions were "not fair". These remarks are considered to potentially undermine the integrity of the officials, which is a breach of FA rules.

Rodri has been charged by the FA with misconduct in relation to comments made towards match officials after Man City's 2-2 draw against Spurs.
