Man United and Chelsea ‘to move for’ centre-back coveted by Porto and Benfica | OneFootball

Mail Sport reports that Manchester United and Chelsea are monitoring Tromso’s Abubacarr Sedi Kinteh, 19, and could move for the defender next season.

The Gambian centre-back has been on the radar of Benfica and Porto for months.

Swiss clubs have also made enquiries, with the window there open until mid-February. Basel and Young Boys are viewed as possible immediate or intermediate destinations.

Al Ahli, whose football department includes Rui Pedro Braz, recently entered the picture. The Saudi club lodged an offer of around eight million euros to Tromso, but no deal was struck.

In 2025 for Tromso, Kinteh made 22 official appearances, 21 in the league and one in the Norwegian Cup, totalling 1,739 minutes. He registered one goal and one assist and is valued at five million euros.
