Manchester United loanee Dan Gore will make his highly anticipated return from injury next weekend, according to his manager at Rotherham United.

Gore joined The Millers in January and bagged an assist on his debut versus Birmingham City.

Disaster struck though as he picked up a foot injury in training shortly after and he has been ruled out ever since.

The 20 year old has claimed that he was “gutted” by the injury after suffering major health issues last season whilst on loan at Port Vale.

After picking up the injury, he returned to United for treatment but his return to the League One side has been teased for a few weeks now.

At the start of the month, newly appointed Rotherham boss, Matt Hamshaw, claimed that Gore was on course to make a return to the club and he seems on the cusp of doing so.

The Rotherham Advertiser reports that Gore was in the crowd for yesterday’s thrilling 3-3 draw with Mansfield Town.

Gore will reportedly train with his teammates over the weekend but the fixture against Wigan Athletic on Easter Monday has come too soon to see a return to first team action.

According to Hamshaw, Gore is being lined up to play a part against Stevenage on Sunday 27th April.

The coach confirmed, “we’ll get a full week into him after that and look to give him some minutes at Stevenage.”

The United youngster will have very little time to make much impact however, as Rotherham only have three games left in the league, including the match on Monday that he will not take part in.

Therefore, Gore’s main focus will be to stay fit, have a strong pre-season and secure a loan spell for next season where he can finally put his injuries behind him once and for all.
